Kindergarten
Here at Zion Classical Academy, our Kindergarten class’, core curriculum includes- Religion, Handwriting, Math, Reading, Phonics/Spelling, Language Arts, English, History, Science, Character Education, Art, P.E., and Music.

We believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. Students have the opportunity to take several field trips throughout the school year, such as: the State Fair, the Scarecrow Patch, College View Assisted Living for Christmas caroling, and the Stuhr Museum.

We also have many special events throughout the year. The most exciting of which is National Lutheran Schools Week in late January. This is a time when students participate in many activities to celebrate Lutheran Schools. The week culminates with Grandparents/VIP Day. This allows each child the unique experience of having their special person in the classroom and participating in special activities with them for the day.

There are many opportunities for extra-curricular activities here at Zion: the school choir, the Children’s Christmas Service; the Spring Musical/Concert, and the Spring Track and Field Day (hosted by Heartland Lutheran High School).
